Campaigns
Scottish Labour are mounting a campaign against Tory plans to reduce the income of working families throughout the North East by cutting Tax Credits. Almost 10,000 people in Aberdeen will be affected by the plan, but scottish Labour intends to use new powers coming to the Scottish Parliament to restore the payments which have been lost. Keep Justice Local
SNP members of the Justice Committee voted to allow the closure of courts across Scotland, including Stonehaven in the North East. Supporting Public Sector Workers
Lewis supports public sector workers fighting against changes to their pensions, and met with many of the strikers on 30 November 2011. All Labour MSPs gave up a days pay in support of people striking, and Scottish Labour will continue to stand up for public sector workers.
